Obama Economics: Copy from John Kerry 2004 and call it "Change."

[John K. Matyi] One of the main reasons Obama is saying that McCain did not talk about the economy during the RNC convention is that the Democrats believe that the only way this country can have a booming economy is when the government regulates it. What do the Republicans believe, "I will stand by your side and leave you alone!" What has McCain said about the economy, we need to increase trade to other countries and lower the taxes. Oh wait, now Obama says he will not raise taxes if the economy is still bad, and if I'm elected there will be another stimulus package in January 2009 [also known as I will pay anything you want if you just vote for me].

We keep hearing that if we elect McCain we will get another four years like the last eight years. Well, let's look at the last eight years. In a few days it will be the anniversary of the September 11, 2001 invasion of our country. If I had written on September 12, 2001 that 'I believe that we will not have another attack for the next seven years' it would have been the last time anyone ever took me seriously; at least until today. Now George Bush did not single handedly stop all terrorists from coming to America to do damage. I think he had a little help. But these seven years of security did happen on his watch. I believe that history will also look at this in a favorable way.

Obama has said that we are paying billions of dollars every two weeks in this war and I will stop that and bring that money home. So I guess that means our enemies will say 'America doesn't want to play anymore so we need to go and get a real job?' I hardly think so. Will Iraq start paying more for their own defense? They will, and just as they are now doing most of the grunt work defending their people, they will soon be able to govern themselves as well.

Let me put this in sound bites: The Economy: Obama wants to raise our taxes (well he did until yesterday) by taxing the so-called rich and transferring the money to the so-called poor (also known as Socialism). McCain wants to lower the tax rate for the people who will invest in their business (also known as the middle-class) so they can create more jobs (and make more money).

I believe many if not most of the people Obama calls the poor want to be rich too, or at least better off than they are now. So can we lower their taxes?  Nope. Most of them pay a very small tax or none at all. The middle-class, they are the ones who run most of the small businesses and if we raise their taxes, or raise the taxes of the corporations they buy from, they will hire less people and have to raise their prices to stay in business. How about that, Economy 101.

I could go on, but I'm running out of ink.     I am sure I would also bore most people to death. I am sure that Obama is planning on nobody really reading anything on his economy page anyway. I sure hope McCain/Palin do. There are at least 100 new TV ads for the next two months here, right off his website.

Let me leave you with this, Obama has been telling us about Change, take a good look at this plan:

So here is our economic plan to build a stronger America:

First, new incentives to revitalize manufacturing.

Second, investment in technology and innovation that will create the good-paying jobs of the future.

Third, close the tax loopholes that reward companies for shipping our jobs overseas. Instead, we will reward companies that create and keep the good paying jobs right where they belong — in the good old U.S.A.
We value — We value an America that exports products, not jobs. And we believe American workers should never have to subsidize the loss of their own job.

Next, we will trade and we will compete in the world. But our plan calls for a fair playing field, because if you give the American worker a fair playing field, there's no one in the world that the American worker can't compete against.

And we're going to return — And we're going to return to fiscal responsibility because it is the foundation of our economic strength. Our plan will cut the deficit in half in four years by ending tax giveaways that are nothing more than corporate welfare. And we will make government live by the rule that every family has to live by: Pay as you go.

And let me — Let me tell you what we won't do: We won't raise taxes on the middle class.

You've heard — You've heard a lot of false charges about this in recent months. So let me say straight out what I will do as President: I will cut middle class taxes. I will reduce the tax burden on small business. And I will roll back the tax cuts for the wealthiest individuals who make over 200,000 dollars a year, so we can invest in job health care, education, and job creation.

Is this the Obama plan? Maybe, I took this from John Kerry’s acceptance speech at his Democratic National Convention. So I guess the only change we can expect is changing from John Kerry to Barrack Obama. Doesn’t sound like too much change to me. No wonder the Obama campaign was so afraid of being Swift Boated.'
