[Video] Associated Press/Yahoo News Poll: One Third of White 'Democrats' harbor Negative views against Blacks.

[John K. Matyi] According to the AP/Yahoo News poll: "One Third of White 'Democrats' harbor Negative views against Blacks, calling them "Lazy and Violent." And of course everyone tells the truth when Father Poll taker calls on the phone. why it's just like going to confession! My question to the AP and Yahoo is why just Democrats. Or did you also ask Republicans and only 20 percent "harbored negative views" and that might have done too much damage to liberals (especially coming from AP and Yahoo).

Having taken classes in statistics in college and graduate school I don't for a minute believe that I am an expert in this field. But I did have to learn how to write code for SPSS software to include what my questions were. Without knowing more of the details of this study it is difficult to evaluate the importance of such a study, but it does open a few questions.

  • If McCain now wins the race for president does this confirm that the US is a racist country, or does the fact that he is the first Black to reach this level in the election of a president mean that we are not?
  • If White Democrats (or Republicans for that matter) have a negative view of Blacks, does that automatically mean that they will not vote for Obama?
  • Is the inference here that if you don't vote for Obama, are White, and you are a Democrat, then you must be a racist?
  • Is it now alright for 90% of Blacks to vote for BO and not be labeled a racist, but if 30% of White Democrats do not vote for him they will be labeled as a bigot?
  • I would like to know how the questions were phrased and in what order did they ask them as this can make a difference in the outcome.
I don't know the answers to all of these questions, but (especially) if BO loses, I am sure this issue will come up again. I am sure it will be front page in the Old News Media.
