Health Care in America: Provacative questions from John Stossel

[John K. Matyi] While Obama has his surrogates on TV, in print, and all over the Internet telling Americans protesting his Health Care plan they are just mobs for the Republicans or lobby groups for the Insurance companies, John Stossel  way back in September of '07 was making a documentary that eloquently gives both sides of the Health Care issue. It is broken up into 6 segments here and I fear if this posting gets a lot of hits it might be taken off the net.

As to the multiple Town Hall Meetings (now referred to as 'Gladiatorial), I fear that the Obama administration will soon look for (or promote) violence (also known as a crisis) in order to pass some kind of restrictive legislation 'for the safety of this country.

Yesterday I started reading "Backing Hitler: Consent and Coercion in Nazi Germany" by Robert Gellately (Backing Hitler: Consent and Coercion in Nazi Germany by Robert Gellately (Kindle Edition - May 24, 2001) - Kindle Book). Gellately is a Strassler Professor in Holocaust History, Clark University. He analyzes the role of "ordinary" Germans in the Nazi persecution of those deemed social and political outsiders [by the government].

Under the guise of "law and order," the Nazis suspended regular jurisprudence and substituted arbitrary arrest and imprisonment. Far from carrying out their activities in secret, the Nazis publicized them as steps to the social, political, and racial regeneration of Germany. He points out that when people know the media is censored (as in our MSM) they don't read less, they read more in order to understand the world around them.

My point in bringing this up is not to call Obama Hitler, or a Nazi; but rather to show the reader that totalitarian/Marxist/Socialist governments do not become powerful in a vacuum. But rather they take advantage of a crisis in their country (real or fabricated) to meet their goals. They only need to convince the people that what they are proposing is only temporary and is necessary for their protection

I will add the URL's for the videos for those reading this on their Kindle (Amazon.com) because the Kindle does not have the ability to show videos. You can also see this post at www.johnmatyi.com
